The Jekyll & Gin
Do you or a friend have a black light? Although these cocktails taste gorgeous, the main reason to make them is to see the glow! Maybe get a small smoke machine to create added ambience…
Ingredients :
50ml Gin
15ml. lemon juice
1 tsp. grenadine handful of ice cubes
Tonic Water
How to Make:
Mix gin, lemon juice and grenadine in a shaker
Pour into a large glass filled with ice
Top with tonic water
If you spent your weekends in a warehouse during the 90\’s, add a glow stick for effect
Black Magic Margaritas
Nothing to do with Little Mix, or those chocolates that you can get. And don’t worry if you’ve had a scary time in a previous life with golden tequila, the silver stuff’s very different.
Ingredients:
1/3 c. Black sanding sugar
2 ice cubes
Red food colouring
Blue food colouring
Green food colouring
Lime slices
How to Make:
Rim two glasses with a lime slice and dip in the black sanding sugar
Divide tequila, triple sec, and lime juice between two glasses and stir to combine
Add food colouring until desired black colour is achieved
Sweet Poison Cocktail
‘Girl, I must warn you…’ These are pretty strong and should come with a warning label. Must be consumed while listening to Poison, by Bell Biv Devoe.
Ingredients:
30ml Light Rum
50ml Coconut Rum
10ml Blue Curacao
1 handful ice cubes
Pineapple juice
Pineapple wedge
How to Make:
Combine both rums and Blue Curacao in a cocktail shaker filled with ice
Shake, then pour into a cocktail glass
Fill the rest of the glass with chilled pineapple juice
Garnish with a pineapple wedge
Zombie
Nothing to do with The Cranberries 1994 classic, but just as impressive. Everyone reading from the UK and Ireland will agree that the best Zombie cocktails on earth can be purchased in Belfast. Not an opinion, just the truth.
Ingredients:
1 oz. light rum
1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. apricot liquor
2 oz. orange juice
1 dash lime bitter
1 handful ice
1 oz. Bacardi 151 Rum
Orange slice and cherry
How to Make:
Combine light rum, dark rum, apricot liquor, orange juice, and bitters using a cocktail shaker
Pour into a large glass filled with ice
Top with the shot of Bacardi 151
Garnish with the orange slice and cherry
Witch’s Heart
Remember those three from Hocus Pocus? They used to drink this stuff!
Ingredients:
50ml apple brandy or apple vodka (chilled)
1 tsp grenadine
20ml raspberry liqueur
Powdered dry ice (optional)
How to Make:
1/2 – 1 tsp of powdered dry ice to the bottom of the glass (optional)
Place the apple brandy and purple shimmery liqueur in a shaker
Add 1 ice cube and shake for a few seconds to chill the drink
Strain the drink into a martini glass. Top up with more purple shimmery liqueur if necessary
Pour 1 tsp of grenadine syrup, about an inch from the surface of the
